BakeSmart's wholesale workflow still requires three separate modules - the Platform tier, plus Wholesale, plus a Wholesale Customer Portal so customers can actually log in and order. The Platform is the only one with a price still on bakesmart.com/pricing.
BakeSmart removed per-module prices from their public pricing page sometime between Feb and May 2026. The Wholesale and Customer Portal modules - plus POS, Cake Matrix, eCommerce and the rest - all now say "Learn more" and route you to a sales conversation. The last publicly published combined minimum (Feb 2026) was $247/month for the three modules needed to take wholesale orders.

Most wholesale bakeries have 10-50 regular customers who order the same things every week. The problem isn't recipe costing - it's the hours spent taking orders by phone, text, and email.

Standing orders without the desktop / portal sync gap
BakeSmart supports standing orders, but the desktop app and the wholesale customer portal aren't backed by the same live database. After editing a standing order on the desktop side, you have to click an "Upload Changes To Online Wholesale" button to push it to the customer portal - a manual sync step that's easy to forget and silently leaves the two views out of step. Cadence is also limited to daily / weekly / monthly with no fortnightly option and no first-class skip or pause.
Wholesale Handler is a single cloud database - merchant edits show up in the customer view immediately, no upload step. Schedules can run weekly, fortnightly, three-weekly, or four-weekly, with proper pause (to a date or indefinitely), skip-a-single-occurrence, and per-schedule minimum-spend overrides.

The scope argument
BakeSmart is a bakery ERP. Wholesale Handler is an ordering portal. Different tools for different problems.
